WHILE the Seafood and Wine Festival was a thoroughly enjoyable event, there is one area where the organisers can make improvements next year.
The children’s tent was located only a few feet away from the entertainment tent, which meant that when the bands were in full swing those entertaining the children struggled to be heard.
Kevin, the story-teller did an excellent job, but poor man, there were times when I felt for him.
Since, suited to the festival’s theme, the tales were often fishy, where better for the stories to be told than on the boat in the Fishermen’s Museum?
Perhaps the organisers of the festival (whom I don’t know, hence writing through the press) could consider that as a location next year?
If not, they should at least locate the children’s and entertainment tents at opposite ends of the festival site.
