MY HUSBAND and I combined a visit to two family members who moved to St Leonads six months ago with a trip to Hastings Old Town Week Carnival.
What an absolutely fantatic parade and display by all who took part! Congratulations to everyone involved - you all did the town proud.
We were standing near the parade set-off point and the Mayor (what a jolly fellow!) and his party were more than happy to share a bit of witty banter and shake us by the hand.
To see the lifeboat head up the parade was awesome. In my family there have been lifeboat men going back to my great-grandfather who worked in the Norfolk area.
The pirate ship was also great fun to watch, along with the rest of the parade.
It was our fourth visit to Hastings this year and with such friendly townsfolk we will certainly be visiting again on a regular basis.
Well done for a superb day.
