Don’t jump on the bandwagon

Have your say

THE advertisement from the Labour party in the Observer referred to their parliamentary candidate as wanting to ‘save the maternity at the Conquest’.

Some of us did this before in 2007 and 2008 when we campaigned with our friends in Eastbourne for both services to maintain their consultant-led services. I don’t recall Sarah Owen on those marches.

Michael Foster MP was there, and our current MP Amber Rudd. Sarah may have been born in Hastings but it seems that she left pretty quickly and has only come back to run as Labour’s parliamentary candidate following their all women selection process.

Welcome back Sarah but don’t pretend you are saving a service the rest of us fought for five years ago.
