Don’t expect a spread for free

I NOTICE in the Observer that the Seafood and Wine Festival is being advertised once again.

This year, for the first time, there will be a charge to attend this event. This charge will not only apply to the music tents (understandable maybe) but the food vendors section (wow).

The food on these days is not exactly cheap in the first place so for those who only go for the food it is going to be quite a shock if they haven’t seen the ads or posters.

The London influx/weekenders and so on will no doubt not worry but locals in the third most deprived seaside town will not be overly happy at this. I dare say that entrance to the Stade Open Space will be slow as every other visitor questions/argues with the unsuspecting security staff.
