Do you possess one of Claude’s clocks?

BACK in 1978 a well-known resident of Hastings, Claude B. Reeve, died.

Claude was a well-known amateur clockmaker who described building his clocks in a magazine for people with home workshops.

When Claude died all his clocks and his workshop were disposed of, possibly locally.

All have now vanished without trace and his former readers would love to know what happened to them.

Claude described many clocks, some complex, from the late 1930s.

He was a fine craftsman who incorporated new materials from his work in dentistry. He was also generous with his time and advice for those trying to follow his instructions.

I would be most interested to hear from anyone who has one of his clocks, to be able to see it and photograph it.

I have tried to find them through model engineering contacts and via my website modelengineeringwebsite.com/home.html but to no avail. Can anyone help?
