Disappointed by comments

I WAS very disappointed to read in the Observer last week the comments from our Labour council leader Jeremy Birch, on the Newham Council situation.

Cllr Birch, as a resident of Hastings, I was appalled that you chose to snipe from the side lines and blame this development on Government policy.

Why doesn’t Cllr Birch go and see his fellow Labour leader at Newham Council Sir Robin Wales and make the case for Hastings?

Yet again Jeremy Birch and his Labour group prefer not to let a good crisis go to waste and rather use the opportunity as a reason to nonsensically bash the Government.

Labour don’t stand up for the people of Hastings, they stand up for small-minded political point scoring.
