Criticism of event not shared by crowds

AS A local, young mum, I must say I felt extremely sorry for the team at Priory Meadow after reading Sylvia Verlander’s letter in the 2nd December edition of the Observer.

There are many families this Christmas, myself included, that are having to tighten their purse strings and a free event like the Santa’s arrival event is always a must on our families’ calendar. I took my five-year old twins to both the Christmas lights switch on and Santa’s arrival events at Priory Meadow and they thoroughly enjoyed both evenings and literally talked about it for days after.

I am sure Sylvia’s opinion is not an opinion shared by many. Well done to Priory Meadow for putting on such fantastic events all year round - most of the Hastings locals very much appreciate them.
