WE are residents of Hurrell Road which backs on to the Ore rail line.
We notice that people only seem to worry about the commuters being put out; no-one has bothered to ask us the residents. Our lives have been made untenable since the work started.
No one from the railway made us aware that the work would be 24/7 with heavy plant banging about all night and the hooting and shouting going on.
None of us has had a decent night’s sleep since it started. The only answer we got from Southern was it would get back to us in three weeks, by which time all the work would have been done and forgotten.
