ONE simple question: Just because Hastings College is going to move to other premises, is that any reason why the surrounding area has been allowed to develop into a slum?
I live in Quarry Hill and most days need to post letters, which I do in the post box by the college gates.
The road and pavement outside the college are awash with rubbish of all descriptions. It has been like this for some months.
Can someone give any valid explanation? Or, ideally, will someone do something about this? Otherwise it could suffer the same fate as Hastings Pier.
