AS a parent of children who have happily participated in the Ore Dance & Music Festival since its inception, I did not recognise Mrs Winchester’s caricature account of her experience, as at all representative of how the festival is run.
The festival offers children in our community an opportunity to cultivate their talent in a nurturing environment where they might otherwise feel intimidated by larger venues and is both well-respected and supported.
Mrs Winchester appears not to have discussed her concerns with the festival organisers and one can only wonder what motivated such a maligning public outburst, designed it would seem to inflict reputational harm that is entirely unmerited.
It is perhaps a moot point whether such a patently unbalanced missive deserves comment at all.
