I AM a sixth form student, and with the Quicken Trust and Parkwood Sixth Form, I will be visiting an African village over the Easter holidays.
The village is situated in the heart of Uganda and is called Kabubbu. While I am out there, it is my role to visit a school in the village and teach them something from our culture that they are unlikely to have ever experienced.
I have chosen to teach them music, specifically how to play the recorder.
However, to do so, I need around 30 descant recorders and beginners’ music books, which I don’t have myself.
If anyone can kindly donate any spare descant recorders or music books, please deliver or send them to:
Parkwood Sixth Form, Parkstone Road, Hastings, East Sussex TN34 2NT. Or please contact us at email@example.com and we will collect.
I must stress that I will be leaving them in Kabubbu because I would love it if they carried on playing them after I leave.
Hence, please do not donate anything highly valuable or precious.
We are also seeking sponsorshup to help fund the work that we do in Kabubbu. If you can help, please contact us at the above address.
Thank you for any support you can give.
