Are they serving the community?

Do the councillors of Hastings think they are serving the community by irrevocably closing the toilets in Harold Place and Ore then possibly selling the sites for a quick buck? (Do we really want more estate agents and betting shops?)

Do they think they are serving the community by ignoring the needs of the elderly, the disabled and those with medical conditions and discouraging these people from leaving their homes?

Do they think they are serving the community by making Hastings a dirtier town and damaging its reputation?

Do they think they are serving the community by denying basic facilities to visitors and tourists who are an important source of revenue to Hastings?

Do they think they are serving the community when those who find the toilets are gone, use the street instead?

Do they think they are serving the community when they expect the nearby businesses to provide the service which the council has abandoned?

Do they think they are serving the community by deterring shoppers from the town centre and by depressing trade?

Do they think they are serving the community by blaming central government and recklessly withdrawing this much needed service?
