A GROUP of children and teenagers took part in a whole host of challenging events at an adventure park, in the name of charity.

St Michael’s Hospice laid on the event at PGL in Windmill Hill for the 19 youngsters as part of the St Leonards-based charity’s Young Person’s Challenge Day.

The group tackled the assault course, Jacob’s Ladder, giant swings and the zip-wire and picnicked in the sunshine at lunchtime. Each participant was asked to raise £50 for the hospice.

Marcia Dart, the charity’s challenge event fundraiser, said: “I would like to thank the families very much for taking part. It was great to see them enjoying themselves and I particularly admired the way the young people worked together in the team activities. We really had a wonderful day.”
