Y Front Run raises £6k for good causes

A fundraiser set up to raise money and highlight men’s cancers has collected more than £6,000.

Jo Brazier and Hollie Chant, organisers of the Y Front Run, made the announcement this week and added they were extremely pleased this year’s campaign netted so much.

Scores of men took part in the second Y Front Run in Alexandra Park on September 28, with more than 150 signing up for the event, dubbed the men’s equivalent of the Race for Life.

The charities to benefit this year were Cancer Research UK (CRUK), Balls to Cancer and St Michael’s Hospice.

Men donned their pants also dressed up as pirates, superheroes and sumo wrestlers.

The Y Front Run Campaign was started in September last year to raise awareness of male cancer, to get men to be less embarrassed about checking themselves and talking about it, along with helping to raise money for the charities the campaign is supporting.

Jo and Hollie would like to personally say thank you to each and every runner, jogger, walker, volunteer, helper and donator who made the campaign a huge success this year.

The Y Front Run Campaign is also proud to announce one of its sponsors for the 2015 campaign is The Hastings Card, which offers discounts at many outlets and attractions.

The Hastings Card has designed a special Limited Edition Y Front Run Campaign Card which will offer £1 off the registration fee for either the Eastbourne or the Hastings event.
