THE world of puppetry was brought to life at a workshop for Christchurch Primary School pupils.
They discovered how puppets are made, were treated to shows and were even able to have a go at crafting the models themselves.
Julia McLean, artistic director at Idolrich Theatre - one of the visiting puppet theatres taking part in the event - said: “It was a great day and the children were inspired.
“It helped make them more self-aware as they learned a lot about puppets and how to mimic everyday life movements.”
The workshop last Wednesday was part of a series of Puppet Sense days running in 1066 Country funded by lottery cash.
