A YOUNG woman had to be cut free from her car after it was in collision with another vehicle at an accident blackspot in St Leonards.
Firefighters were called to the junction of The Green and Hollington Park Road just before 2.40pm last Friday (AUG 2).
The woman’s Ford Fiesta was in collision with a Volvo driven by a man.
Firefighters had to cut the roof off the Fiesta to get the woman, aged around 30, safely out of the wreckage.
Paramedics took her to the Conquest Hospital after she suffered injuries to her head and back.
The Volvo driver escaped unharmed though the car was badly damaged.
The junction involves traffic trying to cross into and out of Hollington Park Road and Charles Road West across the busy The Green which takes traffic down to Filsham Road. There have been several crashes at the junction in the last year.
