An elderly pedestrian was hit by a car in Silverhill on Saturday (October 10).

The incident happened at around 2.20pm near the junction with Sedlescombe Road North and Vale Road in St Leonards.

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said paramedics received reports a woman in her 80s had been hit by a car.

She sustained leg and arm injuries, was treated at the scene, before being taken to the Conquest Hospital.
