Police in Hastings are seeking witnesses after a car collided with a lampost and a parked car on the seafront.

The accident happened at about 11.10pm on Monday (June 1) on the A259 Carlisle Parade, close to its junction with Robertson Terrace.

The car involved, a black Volvo, was badly damaged in the crash, as was the parked car, a grey Toyota Lexus.

A 28-year-old woman driving the Volvo sustained a minor injury, but a 44-year-old man in the car was unhurt.

The woman left the scene but was arrested shortly afterwards on suspicion of dangerous driving.

Anyone who saw the Volvo being driven prior to the collision or saw what happened during or after the incident is asked to contact police without delay by emailing 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or calling 101, quoting serial 1722 of 1/6.
