A Met Office warning remains in place today (Wednesday August 26) as heavy showers falling on saturated ground are causing problems for Sussex drivers.
Gusting winds are also adding to the problem.
The yellow warning is up to 5pm at which point the forecast is for the cloud to move off and the sunshine may make an appearance.
Thursday is due to be cloudy with an occasional light shower.
However, the temperature is set to climb as the week progresses and Saturday could seen some sunny intervals, with showers returning on Sunday.
