The forecast for Sussex may provide welcome relief for many people following the weekend’s windy weather.

Today (Sunday, August 21) should see showers gradually dying out to give way to long spells of sunshine during the afternoon

It is expected to be feeling warm in the sunshine with light winds with maximum temperature of 23°C.

Tonight cloud is expected to thicken from the west, with some outbreaks of rain from late evening.

The rain may turn heavy for a time, but becoming drier from the west at around dawn tomorrow (Monday, August 22).

It is expected to become humid in the night with temperatures at a minimum of 15°C in many places across the county.

Tomorrow will be cloudy with a few spots of rain at first, but these will gradually clear to leave a dry and increasingly brighter day with sunny intervals for most. Maximum temperature is expected to reach 25°C.
