VOLUNTEERS are sought to help manage Church-in-the-Wood nature reserve for the benefit of wildlife and visitors alike.
Hastings Borough Council Rangers and the Friends of Church and Robsack Wood are looking to boost the number of active volunteers working on the Green Project.
Volunteers will have the chance to give something back to the local community, get out-doors and active and meet people and socialise.
Anyone over 16 is welcome and the Rangers will supply all you need, including onsite training and light refreshments. Suitable clothing and shoes are required.
The Green Project will be meeting at Church-in-the-Wood Local Nature Reserve car park near Tesco on Sunday (September 23).
The session runs from 9.30am to 1.30pm, though people can spend as little or as much time as they like.
Councillor Emily Westley lead member for leisure at Hastings Borough Council, said: “The HBC ranger service is doing a great job supporting projects that benefit the whole community but they need volunteers to come forward and help keep these green spaces accessible for generations to come.”
