VIDEO: Politicians get their nails done

POLITICS was the hot topic when Conservative MP Amber Rudd and Labour councillor Dawn Poole visited an Old Town beauty salon this week.

They were at Serenity Hair and Beauty to launch the salon’s offer to donate 10 per cent of takings from manicures and pedicures to St Michael’s Hospice. The offer runs from tomorrow (Saturday) to Saturday, June 1.

Dawn Poole, ward councillor for Old Hastings, said: “Amber and I are from different parties and one of the best things is that we got staff and customers talking about politics which is something they wouldn’t necessarily have done previously.”
