HASTINGS 1066 Market launched yesterday (Good Friday) on the Stade Open Space.
People stopped by to browse stalls, try food on offer enjoy live music and take part in an Easter trail.
The new market runs from 10am to 4pm every Friday and will feature handmade jewellery and crafts, stalls from local artists, vintage clothes, babywear, local produce and groceries.
Russell Nisbet, organiser, said: “The Stade Open Space is an historic area and the perfect setting for a quality market. We look forward to building a great reputation among shoppers and attracting regular visitors that can only be of benefit to the town.”
