UPDATE: Girl airlifted to hospital after Hastings cliff fall

A 12-year-old girl, who fell down the side of a cliff in Hastings, was airlifted to hospital yesterday evening (Sunday, June 28).

Emergency services attended the scene near the West Hill cafe in Castle Hill Road at around 6.15pm.

Firefighters were also drafted in to assist paramedics in rescuing the girl.

A spokesman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said the girl had fallen six foot and received medical treatment.

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said the air ambulance took the girl to St George’s Hospital in London, as she reportedly had shoulder and head injuries.Did you witness the incident?
