UPDATE: Cyclist and pedestrian hospitalised after crash

A crash involving a cyclist and pedestrian in Hastings resulted in both being taken to hospital last night (Thursday, January 7).

The male cyclist is believed to have crashed into the pedestrian on St Helen’s Road at around 6.20pm.

South East Coast Ambulance Service were initially called to reports of a crash involving a car and a cyclist.

But the two ambulance crews found that a cyclist had hit a pedestrian.

The cyclist suffered injuries including to his head and both were taken to the Conquest Hospital.

The road was blocked for a short time at Ashford Road.
