Developers have published an architect’s impression of what the old Observer building in the town centre could look like under their proposals to redevelop it.

Flint Development Group wants to provide accommodation for 288 students, an art-house cinema and a shop/restaurant for Sussex food and produce at the site in Cambridge Road.

An outline of the proposals has also been published online for the public to view.

The scheme would include a seven-storey extension to the building, to be built on top.

The proposals can be viewed at observerbuildinghastingsconsultation.com.
