Two fires in Hastings

Firefighters tackled two fires in the space of seven hours in Hastings and St Leonards last night and in the early hours of this morning (Friday, September 25).

One East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service crew from Hastings was called to Middle Street at 7:45pm on Thursday night.

Crews used one CO2 extinguisher and one in seven foam to extinguish the fire in an air conditioning unit and left the scene at approximately 8:25pm.

Another fire engine from Hastings was mobilised to another fire in the open in St Leonards at about 3:20am this morning.

Firefighters used one hose reel to extinguish the small fire on Fernside Avenue and left the scene at around 3:40am.
