TWO people were arrested following a raid on a suspected brothel in Hastings on Friday (November 9).
At 7pm officers from the Hastings Neighbourhood Policing Team attended a property following a tip off that the address, in Hastings town centre, was being used as a brothel.
A man and a woman were arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing or inciting prostitution.
The man was taken to Hastings Police Station and cautioned for the offence.
The woman was released and no further action will be taken.
PC Simon Barden from the Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “Information had been received from a member of the public that was concerned that prostitution was occurring at the address.
“Along with other officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team we took swift and decisive action to attend the address and deal positively with the people found on the premises.
“I would strongly encourage anybody with information of this nature to contact Sussex Police on 101.”
