TV presenter takes on a starring role

Better known as a TV presenter on prime time show such as Channel 4’s Room for Improvement and ITV’s This Morning, catch Dave ‘Welly’ Wellman as the lead ‘Tevye’ in Renaissance Theatre’s Fiddler on the Roof.

The show will run from April 11 to 13, at 7.30pm, at the Phoenix Arts Centre, Parkstone Road, Hastings, and is in aid of St Michael’s Hospice.

It features such well- known songs as If I were a rich man, Sunrise Sunset and Matchmaker.

Other leading support comes from well-known local talent including Maxine Roache, Steve Corke, Michael Woodhams, Cathy Brown, Imogen Willetts, Duncan Brown and Dan Regelous, with direction from Mark Evans and musical direction from Andy Gill.

The production is slightly different in that it will be performed in the round giving an intimate feel.

It is 1905 and the first rumblings of the Russian Revolution are to be heard.
