REPRESENTATIVES of the town’s tourist trade have launched a new website in time for this year’s season.

The grand launch of the Hastings and St Leonards re-branded Tourism Association and its new website took place last Thursday (March 22) at the White Rock Hotel.

Previously known as the Hotels Association, the new association now embraces all aspects of those involved in welcoming visitors to the town, such as shops, cafes, restaurants, attractions and venues.

Jim Norris, the association’s chairman, said: “Hastings and St Leonards boasts an extraordinary offer for our visitors, and the members of our association are committed to providing excellence in every aspect of our welcome. In recent years, our members have contributed more than £20 million annually to the town’s economy and, with a broader remit and membership, we are set to improve on this, so that the whole town may benefit.

“We are confident that our exciting new website, www.accommodationinhastings.com, offering detailed entries for our members, will provide an ideal platform to boost the whole town’s visitor economy.”
