TOAST, afternoon tea and fish and chips are sure to whet the appetites of art lovers at quirky new exhibition.
Printed, Prodded & Poked – BRITAIN EXPOSED is the result of a collaboration between four printmakers based in the Kent and Sussex region who have considered British heritage through fresh eyes.
The exhibition will run at the Hastings Art Forum at Marina in St Leonards from Thursday until August 29.
Artists Myles Calvert, Marilyn Edwards, Derek Treacher and Brigitta Wilson have tried to convey their views on what is to be British.
They will try to convey their throughts through various forms of print-making and the use of unusual surfaces resulting in an exhibition of both challenging and beautiful images.
They take a quirky individual look at public figures, the countryside, our aspiration for a better world as well as our quaint customs.
The exhibition is open from 11am to 5pm and admission is free.
