The Sheila Kaye-Smith Society

Everyone enjoyed the Christmas party, hosted by Pamela and Keith Bourne, and our thanks go to them for their hospitality.

In January, Joan Englefield shared some of her hilarious experiences in the Land Army and was presented with a wartime basket of vegetables by Joy and Gerrard Scotern.

Our February meeting was enriched by a talk by Malcolm Tegg, who had been a chorister at Westminster Abbey at the time of the Queen's Coronation.

Our next function is the annual lunch at the Brickwall Hotel and on the April 18th. We'll have a discussion on Sheila's book The Challenge to Sirius.

We meet at Filsham Hall, at the top of Filsham Road, at 2.30 and visitors are very welcome. If you would like to learn more about the Sheila Kaye-Smith Society please telephone our Secretary on 422139.
