DAVID Wardrop, organiser of an annual London event which marks the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers (May 29), will speak at Bexhill and Hastings UN Association’s next free public meeting.
Five years ago, the UN’s total peacekeeping years at various spots around the world had reached nearly 300, so by now it is probably nearer 400.
The first such mission began in Palestine in 1948.
All will be welcome at Mr Wardrop’s talk, which will start at 11am on Saturday, November 10, at Parkhurst Hall, Parkhurst Road, Bexhill. Coffee will be available from 10.30am and a lunch with local food for £3.50 at 1pm.
