Teenager robbed at night

A 15-YEAR-OLD boy was robbed by a man at knifepoint as he walked through Wellington Square at night.

The victim was with friends at 10pm on June 7 when they passed two men sitting on a wall. One of the robbers demanded the victim’s phone and then threatened him with a knife.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “The victim was extremely frightened and handed over his Blackberry phone.

“Fortunately he wasn’t injured in any way but the incident left him very shaken.

“The two suspects are aged between 18 and 22, white, and one of them was wearing grey jogging bottoms with a yellow stripe down the leg.

“We want to find out who these offenders are as quickly as possible and would ask anyone with information to call police on 101 quoting serial 1629 of 7 June. Alternatively call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
