A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of burglary early this morning (Wednesday).
This follows information received by police yesterday regarding a break-in in West St Leonards, near the railway station.
Officers have not been able to establish where the burglary took place but suspected stolen roller skates have been seized.
Police are keen to reunite the roller skates with their owner and are appealing for residents to check their sheds and outbuildings for any signs of a break in.
The boy has been bailed until January 10, 2013, pending further enquiries.
Anyone with information, or anyone who believes a break in has occurred at their property, is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 1720 of 4/12 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
