A GALLERY measuring just nine square feet but with space for more than 100 exhibits will be pitching up in January.
The Tent Gallery is exactly what its name suggests, a fully working gallery in a three-man tent.
It is the brainchild of Martin Symons and David Fowler, two artists who love getting together and going camping.
This summer they decided to launch a joint initiative in the form of the Tent Gallery.
Submissions of photographs are now being welcomed for the latest exhibition, Holiday Heaven/Holiday Hell.
Martin said: “We are looking for old or new holiday snapshots, images that relate to holidays (what can you not do without when going away?), beautiful/dreadful landscapes or anything else really.
“We’re not interested in composition, technical prowess or anything special, we just want images that connect with the theme Holiday Heaven / Holiday Hell.
“You can interpret it anyway you want, creating new images if you like or you can dig around in your old photo albums to find something interesting.”
The exhibition is free to enter, and the maximum size for the submitted image should be A5. Name and contact details should be included. This exhibition is free to enter, however photographs will not be returned to contributors.
Entries can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org, or posted to Martin Symons, The Tent Gallery, Unit 5, Mercatoria Business Centre, 100 Norman Road, St Leonards-on-Sea, TN38 0EJ. The deadline for submissions is January 17, 2013.
The tent will be pitched in the Hastings area on January 24, at a location to be confirmed. Contact Martin or David by email at email@example.com, or call 07929 967125. Visit thetentgallery.wordpress.com.
