A St Leonards woman has been jailed this week for defrauding her employers out of more than £4,700.

Kelly Jane Hodd, 28, of Martingale Close, was charged with three counts of fraud by false representation following a report that money had been taken from her former employer.

She appeared before Hastings magistrates in court in February this year.

Hodd was jailed yesterday (Thursday, August 4) for four months after pleading guilty to all three charges.

A spokesman for the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said the offences all related to Hodd’s position as an administrator at JMA Associates.

For each fraud charge, a cheque was written to L Hodd and the three amounts were £720 (January 15, 2015), £2,600 (March 20, 2015) and £1,400 (February 28, 2015), the CPS spokesman added.
