OWNERS of Marlborough House are still counting the cost after the devastating fire last week, which displaced more than 30 elderly residents.
Loss adjusters have been into the property in Warrior Square, St Leonards to assess the extent of the fire and water damage.
Meanwhile the public has stepped forward to help those residents who were displaced.
Sam Brown and Ricky Allen are organising a sponsored walk on Sunday (August 11) in aid of Marlborough House residents. Funds are desperately needed to replace the clothing, possessions and other essential items that they lost.
The walk will start from the front of Bexhill train station at 11am before moving along the seafront to Warrior Square. The walkers will have donation buckets. To join the walk contact staff at Pathways on 01424 733094.
Alternatively you can donate to the residents’ appeal by sending a cheque made out to In Touch to Family Mosaic, Frederick House, 42 Frederick Street, Brighton, BN1 4EA.
