A SINGING group in Hastings has handed over almost £500 to a charity which looks after carers and their families.

Olly Toovey and Helen Bird, from Friends Unlimited, raised £460 from a recently-held concert and decided to donate the cash to Crossroads Care, a service which offers respite to people looking after a sick friend or relative.

Anne Freeman, manager, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you from Crossroads for this donation, which we have used to buy a 42in wide-screen television for our day centre.”
