RED LAKE School has been recognised for its provision for dyslexic pupils.

The primary school was given Dyslexia Friendly status by the local authority’s Standards and Learning Effectiveness Service.

This status has only been awarded to a few schools in East Sussex.

The certificate was presented by Kath Williamson, from the Standards and Learning Effectiveness Service.

Teacher Phil Bailey said: “Red Lake has been working towards this award for three years, and is delighted to have achieved it.

“Kath commented that she has been impressed by the hard work of the staff to adapt their classrooms and teaching and thanked the inclusion manager for all her hard work.”
