OUR May lecture is on Monday, May 20 to be given by Anthea Streeter Med (Harvard) entitled Sir Edwin Lutyens.
Lutyens is often considered to be Britain’s greatest architect since Sir Christopher Wren. This lecture considers his early arts and crafts houses, particularly the little-changed Le Bois de Moutiers on the Normandy coast with its luscious Jekyll garden; his contribution to the laying out and building of New Delhi; and his powerful war memorial at Thiepval.
Forthcoming visits: Thursday, June 6 - Apsley House and Kensington Palace.
Tickets available at the above meeting.
If you are unable to attend the meeting, but would like to be included in any visit or require any further information, please contact the telephone number (or email address) below for further details.
