A FOREIGN lorry driver found himself going nowhere fast after his vehicle got stuck under a railway bridge.
The driver, from Romania, was travelling along Braybrooke Road on Monday afternoon just before 3pm when the lorry, because it was too high, became wedged under the bridge.
The road was closed to other traffic for more than two hours.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Police officers who came across the vehicle while on routine patrol referred the incident to Network Rail which attended to check the structural integrity of the bridge. The lorry had gone by 5pm that day.”
