PUPILS at Silverdale School cooked up some delicious treats against the clock in a Ready, Steady, Cook-style workshop.
Like the TV show, the year three children had to make a number of dishes within a set time limit.
They were led by chef Timothy Elks, as part of an initiative called Fun into Food, which is designed to get school pupils interested in cooking with fresh ingredients and eating healthily.
Around 90 children at Silverdale School took part, serving pork and ginger stir fry, home-made beefburgers, cooking up a vegetarian dish, as well as fruit smoothies - all within an hour-and-a-half time limit.
Jackie Blackman, the school’s catering manager, said: “The children absolutely loved it and showed a lot of interest. They had a brilliant time.”
