Ark Blacklands Primary Academy celebrated its Harvest Festival with a special assembly for the whole school.

Headteacher, Lorraine Clarke, was delighted with the array of food that the children brought in for those less fortunate than themselves. The assembly, held on Tuesday, focused on thankfulness and gratitude with a representative from each class presenting to the academy what they were thankful for in their lives. These ideas ranged from clean running water to their very own families and friends. Teaching assistant James Bacon said: “We would like to thank all the children for their wonderful singing and food contributions which will be donated to two worthy causes: the Hastings Foodbank and Hastings Seaview Project.”
