THAT’S the way to do it! Hastings Museum and Art Gallery is providing a glimpse of seaside fun from yesteryear later this month.
A week on Tuesday the Bohemia Road museum will be hosting a Punch and Judy show from 1.30pm as part of a national project celebrating the legacy of the iconic duo.
The project is aimed at people who can remember the original shows held during the 1950s and 1960s along Hastings and St Leonards seafront and spectators will be asked to share their memories and stories with Punch and Judy expert Joe Burns and filmmaker Jamie Taylor.
These memories will then be used to create a series of short films about the history of the show to commemorate Mr Punch’s 350th birthday.
The event is open to all adults - with organisers encouraging people to bring along any memorabilia which reminds them of time spent at the seaside.
