Residents are set to get their first glimpse of two major developments in Hastings in the next few weeks.
Public forums have been arranged by Hastings Borough Council to see plans for two new housing proposals and a new hotel.
Developers will present details for houses at Summerfields Business Park, and a replacement hotel for the Travelodge on Bohemia Road along with more homes.
The council’s lead member for planning Kim Forward said: “We actively encourage developers to hold forums and can facilitate them on their behalf.
“Key stakeholders are invited to attend and participate in pre-application forums and as a result of the forum we hope that the developer will have a better understanding of community expectation before they submit a planning application.
“The meeting is held in public and whilst the public are encouraged to attend and listen, only invited stakeholders, including community representatives, councillors and officers can speak.
“However, residents can make their representations and have their questions answered through local representatives and councillors.”
Pre-application forums allow developers of significant developments to present their proposals to the public before submitting a planning application.
The Summerfields development forum will be at the town hall on Tuesday, October 6, at 6pm.
The Travelodge proposal is also at the town hall but on Thursday, October 15, at 6pm.
