POLICE in Hastings are warning the public to beware of the latest scam doing the rounds.
Cold callers are ringing unsuspecting residents offering to fix their computer.
A resident in Hastings received a phone call from a company claiming to be able to fix computer viruses by phone.
The caller said that the resident had a virus on her computer and that he would help her to get rid of it.
She was asked to log into the computer, before being asked for personal details.
The resident asked to speak to a company manager but the caller hung up.
