Sussex Police says it is investigating 'politically-motivated' graffiti in Hastings.

Police say the spray-painted slogans have been daubed on at least eight places around the town - including walls, bridge supports and in one case, a grade II listed building.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: "The graffiti was reported to police by Hastings Borough Council on Tuesday (May 9) and affected council property, locations administered by East Sussex County Council and Highways England and one private dwelling.

"Police are appealing for anyone with information about those responsible or the incidents to report online to https://sussex.police.uk/appealresponse or call 101 quoting Operation Town."
