Police hunt after man is stabbed

A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being stabbed several times in broad daylight.

The victim was attacked in the Mount Pleasant area at its junction with Priory Road and Egremont Place around 3.30pm.

Police are hunting for two men and are searching the area having closed the A259 at the Priory Road junction. Detective sergeant Mick Burnage said: “The man was treated by ambulance colleagues before being taken to the Conquest Hospital at St Leonards.
