A CHILDREN’S football team will be able to buy a new kit thanks to police.
PCSO Clive Goddard handed over £500 to Hastings Utd under-8s this week, the money coming from the Sussex Police Properties Act fund.
This takes seizures of cash and the proceeds of crime from criminals and redirects it to good causes in the community.
PCSO Goddard said “I approached the Sussex Police Property Act Fund, and I was very happy when police said they could help with the donation. It’s good to help local kids.”
Chris Aird, Utd’s team manager, said: “It is excellent news about the donation and this will make 18 local chilren happy.
“I heard about the fund so I approached PCSO Goddard and asked for his help to apply for the £500 to buy the kit we need. My thanks to Sussex Police and Clive.”
